MELDINGS

This series, developed over the decade to 2000, was the result of considerable travelling done in countries as diverse as India, China, Morocco and much of Europe and Great Britain.

These images have been described as Meldings or Blendings for the way they incorporate disparate images from time and place. Based on personal experiences they are perhaps best seen as painted daydreams in which random associations are given free rein. Developed slowly from pen and ink and watercolour sketches these paintings owe nothing to computer manipulation.
