COUNTRY ENERGY ART PRIZE 2009

I am pleased and honoured to announce that my painting ‘Hen and Chicken Lane’ was judged the winning entry for Countryscapes 2009, the $35,000 art prize for landscape painting awarded annually by Country Energy, NSW. The painting, shown at right, No.5.03, depicts the late evening light in Hen and Chicken Lane, south of Bathurst.

The other artworks on this page are from my last exhibition held in my studio in September 2009.

The paintings focused on the romantic effects of late afternoon light in the landscape of the Bathurst district and other parts of NSW.

They have been left on this page because my current project has been given a special page - Religious. Please refer to that for my upcoming exhibition ‘Building Faith’ which opens at Bathurst Regional Art Gallery on 3 December 2010.
